Jensen Hughes is seeking a Building Surveyor to join our Code and Building Compliance team across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for someone to support a variety of different projects across the country including large commercial buildings, industrial projects, airports, schools and much more.

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident.
• Post graduate qualification in 'Building Surveying' or a similar stream along with relevant industry experience.
• Current registration as Level 1 or Level 2 building surveyor
• Love to collaborate with clients and other teams within the projects.
• Capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the performance requirements of the BCA
• Be familiar with the Work Health and Safety requirements for the workplace
• Personal drive, results-orientated with a friendly, can-do attitude and a high level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility.
• Strong time management and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess building designs against the provisions of the National Construction Code/Building Code of Australia for a range of building classifications.
• Liaise with clients and prepare the National Construction Code/Building Code of Australia compliance reports.
• Collaborate with clients to help upgrade their fire safety measures.
• Enjoy site visits to view progression and completion of the large projects.
• Help prepare "Performance Solution" Design reports for non-fire performance solutions
• Opportunity to lead a team and help develop junior building surveyors
