Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior or Intermediate Bridge Engineer to join the NSW/ACT Bridges & Civil Structures team, based in our Sydney or Newcastle office. You will lead the analysis, design and assessment of bridges and civil structures across NSW, ACT and Australia, contributing to a strong project pipeline and knowledge sharing within a communities of practitioners.

In this role you will work with experienced engineers and modelling specialists, applying Australian standards and tools like

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent required.
Chartered status or progress toward accreditation highly regarded.
Experience in structural design and assessment of bridges and civil structures desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead structural analysis, design and assessment of bridges across concept to construction.
Develop practical engineering solutions prioritising safety, sustainability and whole‑of‑life performance.
Own design packages and deliverables from calculations to reports.
Identify technical risks and interfaces early with project and design leads.
Collaborate with engineers, modellers and other disciplines to deliver integrated designs.
Contribute to design reviews and mentor less experienced engineers.
