Job summary

HSN Property Group, based in Sydney, is seeking an experienced accountant to manage day-to-day transactions and reconciliations within its property and construction arm. The role involves BAS preparation, cash flow reporting, and close collaboration with suppliers and auditors to ensure accurate financials.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Australian experience, a degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce, and strong Excel/Xero skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in Australia.
• Experience in property and/or construction accounting (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and Xero proficiency.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

About the business:

HSN Property Group, together with its construction arm HSN Construction, is a premium high-end residential and commercial property developer and builder based in Sydney.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions
• Perform bank, creditors, intercompany reconciliations
• Assist in preparation of BAS
• Cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Liaising with external suppliers / contractors
• Assist with audit requirements
• General clerical duties, including responding to emails and answering phone calls
• Ongoing bookkeeping and financial management activities
• Supporting ad-hoc reporting

Skills & Experience:

• Must be an Australian citizen / valid PR to apply for this position
• This is an office-based role in Sydney; working from home is not available
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in Australia
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, and/or Commerce
• Previous property and/or construction accounting experience in Australia (preferred)
• High attention to detail
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with Xero
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Positive, proactive approach in a fast-paced environment
