Job summary

1834 Hotels in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to own the end-to-end finance function for our portfolio of hotels. You will partner with hotel management to drive performance and ensure accurate financial records.

You will manage daily sales processing, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, journals, balance sheets, and month-end close while supporting payroll, budgeting, and forecasting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Qualifications in Bookkeeping or Business Administration are desirable but not essential.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Proficiency in accounting software, especially Xero, MYOB, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end finance processes for a portfolio of hotels, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance.
• Manage daily sales processing, accounts payable and weekly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reports, and support month-end close.
• Assist with payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and other operational finance activities as required.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven bookkeeping professional to take ownership of the end-to-end finance function for a portfolio of hotels while partnering closely with operational leaders to support business performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end finance processes for a portfolio of hotels, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance.

Manage daily sales processing, accounts payable and weekly bank reconciliations.

Prepare monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reports, and support month-end close.

Assist with payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and other operational finance activities as required.

Drive process improvements while providing finance support to hotel management and property teams.

About You

3+ years' bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally within a medium to large organisation.

Qualifications in Bookkeeping or Business Administration will be highly regarded but are not essential.

High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office Suite.
