Senior BI Developer - Power BI / Snowflake / Azure

Hybrid (3 days onsite - Eastern Suburbs)

A leading organisation in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs is seeking a Senior BI Developer to drive a major reporting uplift project. This role is highly business-facing, ideal for someone who can gather requirements, present insights clearly, and train end users.

You’ll be rebuilding legacy reports into Power BI, working with Snowflake as the data warehouse, and owning the end-to-end flow from data source → model → dashboard.

The Role

• Migrate legacy Crystal Reports into Power BI (core focus for first 12-18 months)
• Build dashboards, models, DAX measures, and optimise performance
• Work with Snowflake as the primary data warehouse
• Understand end-to-end data flow (pipelines already built)
• Train, onboard, and present to business users
• Work on BAU support/change requests (10-20%)

Ideal Experience

• Strong Power BI + advanced DAX
• Snowflake (schemas, views, SQL)
• Azure Data Factory exposure
• Experience migrating or rebuilding legacy reporting
• Strong presentation + stakeholder engagement skills
• Understanding of data security (RLS, permissions)
• Able to work onsite 3 days/week in the Eastern Suburbs
