Job summary

CPBS is seeking a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join the Hobart team in New Town. This role offers full-time or part-time arrangements with hybrid working options, delivering behaviour support services and mentoring practitioners across Tasmania.

You'll work with a clinical team, conduct assessments, develop BSPs, and collaborate with families, NDIS participants and other health professionals to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • MEBS training and related qualifications are preferred.
  • NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check are required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Analyst or Therapist.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality behaviour support services to individuals and care teams.
  • Mentor practitioners and provide clinical supervision to staff.
  • Conduct assessments and develop Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and report writing to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with families, clinicians and stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

About the Role

CPBS is seeking a full-time or part-time Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our established Hobart team based in New Town. Working alongside a highly experienced clinical team, you'll deliver high-quality behaviour support services, mentor practitioners, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for children, adults and their support networks across Tasmania.

What you'll do
  • Complete introductory and intermediate training in Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS)
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
  • Provide behaviour support services to individuals and care teams in a variety of settings
  • Provide clinical support and training to practitioners, support workers and caregivers
  • Collaborate with NDIS participants, families, allied health professionals and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete report writing in line with legislative requirements

What We’re Looking For
  • A bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
  • An NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
  • Demonstrated experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist
  • Strong report writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
