Job summary

Brown & Chase Executive Search is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the Victorian market for a leading building materials company in Melbourne. You will drive specification, sales and relationships with architects, contractors and key decision-makers on major projects.

You’ll bring B2B sales experience in building products, strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• You’ve got B2B sales experience (ideally within building products, architectural / commercial sector).
• You’re comfortable influencing at senior levels and working on specification-driven deals.
• You bring strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• You have a proactive mindset — you don’t wait for things to happen, you make them happen.
• Bonus: you’ve worked with architects/specifiers and understand how product – specification – project phases work.

Responsibilities

• Identifying new opportunities and winning specification business in the architectural / building-product space.
• Building and nurturing relationships with architects, specifiers, builders and project stakeholders.
• Working closely with the internal team (product, technical, operations) to deliver seamless project outcomes.
• Representing the company at site visits, trade events, meetings and presentations.
• Managing your sales pipeline and forecast accurately — helping shape our strategy for growth.
