Job summary

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in one or more languages (Python, Java, Go, C++, or Node.js).
• Production experience with cloud-native architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC (Terraform).
• Excellent English communication skills for client-facing discussions.

Responsibilities

• Architect distributed backends and API architecture for large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Build and optimize high‑performing, fault‑tolerant distributed systems.
• Integrate cloud-native resources (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions) for deployment.
• Design data and streaming workflows (BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL, Kafka/PubSub).
• Enforce governance with code reviews and robust test suites across teams.
• Collaborate with Melbourne-based stakeholders to align backend architectures.
