Job summary

Aviato Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking an engineer to architect the next generation of autonomous systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will design, develop, and deploy robust AI agents that leverage the Vertex AI ecosystem to automate critical business processes.

This hands‑on role focuses on productionizing agentic workflows, working with Gemini models and enterprise-grade tools to ensure scalable, reliable AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python for software engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience building applications using LLMs (Gemini, GPT, Claude) beyond simple API calls.
• Familiarity with agentic concepts and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, A2A).
• Production engineering experience: CI/CD, Git, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Agentic Architecture: Design scalable, event‑driven architectures for single and multi‑agent systems using Google’s Gemini models.
• Advanced Reasoning: Implement prompting strategies (ReAct, Chain of Thought) and evaluation frameworks to ensure agent reliability.
• Tooling & Integration: Equip agents with executable tools by integrating internal databases (BigQuery, Cloud SQL) and APIs via Apigee or Cloud Functions.
• Data Grounding: Engineer advanced RAG pipelines using Vertex AI Search and Vector Search to provide real‑time, factual context.
• Orchestration: Manage agent state, planning, and task execution using frameworks like A2A or MCP.
• Production Deployment: Containerize and deploy agentic applications as scalable microservices using Agent Engine or Cloud Run.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Python for software engineering.

Hands‑on experience building and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Familiarity with agentic concepts and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, A2A).

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Computer Science or AI/ML.

Deep expertise in the Vertex AI ecosystem (Pipelines, Endpoints, Search, and Model Tuning).

Experience with container orchestration (Agent Engine) and serverless compute (Cloud Run).

Understanding of event‑driven architectures (Pub/Sub) and vector database implementation.

Google Cloud Professional certification (Cloud Architect or Machine Learning Engineer).
