Job summary

Paxus is seeking a Senior Backend API Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services and consumer APIs. You will work with Golang, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable digital platforms for Australia’s disability community.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, robust testing, and strong security practices, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to influence architecture and platform

Qualifications

• Proven experience building secure, scalable backend APIs using Golang in large digital environments.
• Strong API design and integration skills (GraphQL, auth, service-to-service communication).
• Experience running cloud-native apps on Kubernetes and AWS (EKS).
• Hands-on with source control, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to assess AI-assisted tooling to speed development and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure backend services and APIs with Golang and GraphQL.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native apps on Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Collaborate with frontend, Salesforce, MuleSoft, and architects to deliver integrated digital solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation while upholding security standards.
• Contribute to platform reliability, security, and operational excellence.
