Job summary

ASX Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for Derivative Clearing Services in Sydney. You will lead business analysis efforts across the full SDLC, engage with stakeholders, and drive transition plans for target state processes within a dynamic capital markets environment.

The role involves contributing to the BA Capability Community of Practice, eliciting requirements, and partnering with IT and business teams to deliver high-quality artefacts and solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Derivative products and understanding of related business processes.
• 5+ years dedicated BA experience across Agile, Lean and Waterfall projects.
• Experience working independently on Tier 1 projects across the full SDLC.
• Deep understanding of business analysis fundamentals and requirements gathering.
• Experience modelling business processes and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence).
• Willingness to support production incidents and end-user queries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a practitioner in the Business Analyst Capability Community of Practice.
• Conduct gap analyses on As-Is and To-Be states with stakeholders.
• Elicit, analyse, and prioritise new business requests with project owners and SMEs.
• Define transitions of processes to strategic/interim states.
• Map process flows and data to support target state transitions.
• Produce epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to test scenarios and test strategies.
• Coordinate with IT solution providers for progress and issue resolution.
• Support release management and change management activities.
