Job summary

IBM is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Engineer in Melbourne to design, build, implement and operate Azure infrastructure across a security-focused enterprise environment. You will work with the Senior Azure Architect and engineering teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions with a strong emphasis on automation and modernization.

You will automate deployments with Ansible, Bicep and ARM templates, create CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and implement advanced networking, monitoring

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, implementing and operating Azure infrastructure in a complex security-focused enterprise environment.
• Hands-on delivery focus with automation, modernisation and continuous improvement.
• Ability to translate architecture designs into robust, production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Bicep and ARM templates to automate Azure deployments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for infrastructure and app deployments.
• Implement Azure networking including Load Balancers, VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute and Hub-Spoke architectures.
• Configure Azure monitoring with Log Analytics, Azure Monitor and diagnostic settings.
• Apply security controls aligned to ISM, Essential Eight and WDAC policies across Azure resources.
• Configure CMK, backup and disaster recovery solutions for Azure workloads.
• Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments and SAP on Azure infrastructure.
• Document technical designs, runbooks and deployment records.
