Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to drive secure, reliable production releases on an Azure cloud platform within a government environment. You will design monitoring and observability solutions, automate deployments, and implement infrastructure as code using Bicep or Terraform.

You will build and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy, manage credentials and secrets, and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure platform resilience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and supporting enterprise Azure cloud environments.
• Experience building YAML-based CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and automating infra with Bicep or Terraform.
• Advanced observability skills using Application Insights, Log Analytics, KQL and Azure Monitor.
• Baseline clearance or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Azure monitoring, alerting and observability solutions using Application Insights, Log Analytics, KQL and Azure Monitor.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy to automate deployments.
• Implement infrastructure as code, improve platform performance and resilience, and manage secure configurations, certificates and application secrets.
• Troubleshoot Azure incidents, optimise release processes and collaborate with security and development teams to improve reliability.
