Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Azure & Microsoft 365 Cloud Engineer to support and improve secure Azure and Microsoft 365 environments across a major Australian Government collaboration platform. The role focuses on cloud operations, identity, security, endpoint management and automation.

Location: Canberra, ACT. Contract is 12 months with potential extensions. NV1 clearance is required. Closing date: 22 October 2026, 10:00am.

Qualifications

• Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 engineering experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Intune.
• Experience with Defender, Purview, DLP, security monitoring and cloud governance.
• Understanding of Australian Government security, risk and assurance requirements.
• Must hold NV1 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support, manage and improve Microsoft 365 tenancies and related Azure services.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, SSO and MFA.
• Manage Azure infrastructure, networking, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
• Automate tenant and infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI and IaC tooling.
