Job summary

Softtest Pays Pty Ltd in NSW seeks an experienced Application Architect / Technical Lead to modernise FullCAM into a scalable Azure cloud-native platform. You will translate architecture into detailed designs, lead engineering across C#/.NET, Python data workflows and Angular front-ends, and bridge gaps between architecture and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Validate and refine application and component-level designs aligned with platform architecture.
• Translate high-level architecture into detailed Azure cloud-native designs.
• Provide hands-on implementation and peer guidance across the development team.
• Ensure artefacts are practical, optimised and fit-for-purpose for the cloud platform.
• Collaborate with the Solution Architect to bridge conceptual design and implementation.
• Lead integration and refactoring of legacy C++ components into modern architectures.
• Mentor staff and provide technical input on trade-offs and feasibility.
• Contribute to core components in C#/.NET, Python data workflows and Angular front-ends.
• Promote DevOps practices, CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines.
• Ensure security, logging and testing practices meet compliance requirements.
