Job summary

NTT Data in Sydney is seeking an experienced AWS Technical Lead for a 6-month contract with hybrid work. You will drive enterprise AWS transformations, mentor cloud engineers, and lead multi-account architecture, security and automation initiatives.

You will shape technical direction, guide delivery across cloud programs, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable AWS solutions in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AWS engineering, DevOps or Platform Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Experience with CloudFormation, automation and scripting (Python or Bash).
• Strong AWS networking expertise including VPCs, routing, segmentation and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong AWS security and governance experience.
• Experience working within enterprise AWS environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams while remaining hands-on.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem solving skills.
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification.
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional Certification.
• AWS Advanced Networking or Security certifications.
• Terraform Certification.
• Experience within Financial Services highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise AWS solutions across complex multi-account environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to cloud engineering teams.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks and GitOps practices.
• Lead AWS networking, security and governance activities.
• Facilitate technical workshops and provide guidance on architecture, risk and delivery decisions.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, infrastructure, networking and security issues.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies and delivery outcomes across cloud projects.
• Support stakeholders with trusted technical advice and practical recommendations.
