Job summary

CloudM Solutions in Sydney, Australia, is seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to support EIAMS' cloud infrastructure, focusing on secure, reliable AWS environments with EKS. Qualifications

• Three years’ hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure engineering and operational support.
• Strong experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes including cluster administration, upgrades and patching.
• Experience in infrastructure automation and cloud engineering practices for secure, reliable operations.
• Knowledge of AWS security architecture including IAM, WAF, RBAC and secrets management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Argo CD or similar tools.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch or Dynatrace.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure operations for performance, availability, security and reliability.
• Administer and maintain Amazon EKS/Kubernetes environments, including upgrades and patching.
• Develop infrastructure automation to streamline processes and backups.
• Monitor platform performance and costs, optimise capacity and resilience.
• Maintain monitoring/logging using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch and Dynatrace.
• Implement and maintain security controls (IAM, WAF, RBAC, IRSA) with governance alignment.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and ArgoCD for secure deployments.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
