Job summary

Origin Energy is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for a 6-month contract to strengthen Origin Internet’s automation capability in Melbourne. You will own the Node-RED platform, design automation flows, and lead API integrations to streamline business processes.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and developers to ensure reliable, user-friendly automations and contribute to setting standards across the team.

Qualifications

Automation, RPA or workflow orchestration experience.
Hands-on Node-RED or similar automation platform in production.
Strong API integration, secure connections and troubleshooting.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and technical teams.

Responsibilities

Own and improve the Node-RED automation platform, including standards and governance.
Design, build and maintain automation flows across systems and processes.
Lead API integrations, including authentication, data mapping and error handling.
Build dashboards and reusable templates for technical and non-technical users.
Monitor critical automations, troubleshoot issues and support partners.
