Job summary

Darling Downs Health in Cherbourg invites an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Senior Health Practitioner to lead culturally responsive primary health care, guide teams and strengthen community partnerships. You will improve health outcomes for Indigenous people and families, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and drive quality improvement while upholding values of compassion, integrity and courage.

Registration and formal qualifications are required; experience in rural or regional services

Qualifications

• Current registration as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner.
• Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.
• Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
• Demonstrated experience leading health programs, managing teams and achieving service outcomes.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills in community and healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Leading high-quality primary health care programs that improve access, continuity of care and community health outcomes.
• Supporting and mentoring a multidisciplinary team to achieve service goals, uphold standards and deliver safe, culturally responsive care.
• Partnering with community members, health professionals and stakeholders to develop practical solutions to complex health needs.
• Driving quality improvement initiatives that strengthen services and support better experiences for patients and families.
