Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Practitioner to work across the South Burnett region, delivering culturally responsive primary healthcare and strengthening community connections.

You will lead and support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help improve access to quality services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner is required.
• Qualification in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice is required.
• Experience delivering culturally responsive primary healthcare and health education programs.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally responsive primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families.
• Support access to quality health services and navigate the health system for community members.
• Lead and support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers to achieve positive outcomes.
• Build partnerships with community members and health professionals to promote health, cultural safety.

• Current registration as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner.
• Qualification in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.
• Experience delivering culturally responsive primary healthcare and health education programs.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
