Job summary

Gorilla Jobs Pty Ltd is assisting a leading national law firm in Sydney CBD to find a Senior Associate with 6+ years of PAE in workers compensation. You will handle a senior portfolio, advise corporate and insurer clients, and work with a Partner on high-value matters in a collaborative national practice.

The role offers flexible working arrangements, including work-from-home options, and a pathway for progression within a respected insurance team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' PAE in workers compensation, personal injury or insurance litigation.
• Admission in NSW and a current practising certificate.
• Strong advocacy skills and sound knowledge of the NSW workers compensation scheme.
• The ability to manage complex files independently and provide strategic advice.
• Strong written communication and a commercial mindset.
• Candidates from plaintiff or in-house backgrounds with transferable experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex statutory benefits and common law workers compensation matters.
• Run your own files with autonomy and Partner support.
• Advise corporate clients on strategy and liability exposure.
• Prepare high-quality written advice and negotiation strategies.

About the role

You will run a senior portfolio within the firm\'s workers compensation practice and act as a trusted adviser to corporate and insurer clients. You will:

• Manage complex statutory benefits and common law workers compensation matters


• Run your own files with autonomy and Partner support


• Advise corporate clients on strategy and liability exposure


• Prepare high-quality written advice and negotiation strategies


• Gain exposure to a broad range of personal injury and insurance matters


• Contribute to a collaborative, well-resourced national practice
