Job summary

Bartier Perry Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Defendant Workers Compensation practice in Sydney. You will handle statutory workers compensation claims and related common law damages matters, with exposure to a range of clients, insurers and employers.

The role offers a path for progression within a warm, supportive environment. While based in our Sydney CBD office, you can work flexibly and remotely.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience in NSW Workers Compensation and statutory insurance matters.
• Strong drafting, analytical and attention-to-detail abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a supportive team; ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Enter and manage NSW Workers Compensation statutory claims and related damages matters.
• Work with a defence workers compensation practice in a collaborative Sydney-based team.
• Provide high-quality legal advice, drafting, and client communication.
• Contribute to a culture of learning, mentoring junior colleagues, and career progression.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Defendant Workers Compensation practice. You will be exposed to all facets of statutory workers compensation claims and common law work injury damages claims.

About you

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of 5+ years PQE
• Proven experience in NSW Workers Compensation and Statutory Insurance matters. Experience in work injury damages will be viewed favourably.
• Strong technical, analytical and drafting skills with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportive and collaborative team;
• The ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflow
• A desire to become a leading working Workers Compensation Insurance practitioner; and
• An interest in learning about/understanding our clients and their business and mentoring junior team members.
