Job summary

Slater and Gordon Lawyers is seeking an experienced Lawyer/Associate (5+ years PAE) on a full-time basis to support our Work and Road teams across Victoria. The role involves stepping into existing practices to cover leave, handling WorkCover and MVA matters, and delivering high-quality client outcomes.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, high-volume environment with hybrid work options and a commitment to professional development and client service.

Qualifications

Experience as a lawyer with ability to independently manage a client portfolio and deliver quality advice.
Strong knowledge in Work & Road practices and related claims.
Excellent communication and relationship-building with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse caseload across Work Cover and MVA matters.
Step into and progress different Work Cover and MVA practices as needed.
Provide clear advice and manage client expectations within timelines.
Collaborate with senior lawyers and external experts to resolve complex issues.
Mentor junior lawyers and support staff within the team.
Ensure compliance with firm standards and practice guidelines.
