Job summary

Slater and Gordon is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in Public Liability to manage their own matters with support from senior lawyers and to mentor junior lawyers. You’ll engage with clients, colleagues and legal staff to deliver clear advice and practical solutions.

Qualifications

• A sound working knowledge of the candidate's practice area.
• The ability to manage client matters, expectations and communications effectively.
• Strong organisation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to identify risks and work with others to develop solutions.
• A commitment to quality work, timely advice and professional client service.
• The ability to explain Fair Go Funding clearly and respond to client queries.
• An interest in building client and referral relationships and supporting the development of others.

Responsibilities

• Manage new and existing client matters and help resolve complex legal issues.
• Build strong client relationships through clear, regular communication and considered advice.
• Work with senior lawyers, counsel and external experts where needed.
• Support and develop junior lawyers and legal support staff.
• Contribute to effective file management, risk identification and timely outcomes.
