Job summary

Clayton Utz in Sydney seeks a Senior Associate to join the Restructuring, Insolvency and Special Situations practice. You will work with partners and national heads on high-profile matters for banks, corporates and insolvency practitioners, contributing to complex restructurings and workouts.

You will participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration, enjoy mentorship from industry leaders, and have access to structured development programs and clear career progression within a supportive team

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE at a leading commercial law firm.
• Experience in transactional banking or finance, with pivot to restructuring.
• Excellent drafting, attention to detail.
• Strong communication to build client relationships.
• Time and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist partners in restructuring matters and senior advisory work.
• Handle high-profile matters including receiverships, workouts and complex financings.
• Collaborate with peers across the national practice group.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development.
