Job summary

Clayton Utz in Sydney is seeking a talented lawyer to join the Restructuring, Insolvency and Special Situations team. You will act for global financial institutions, listed and multinational companies, funds, directors, insolvency practitioners and investors on restructurings, workouts, and complex financing arrangements.

Working with partner Katie Higgins and senior practitioners, you will develop your legal expertise and client relationships within a nationally collaborative, top-tier firm

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' PQE as a lawyer with strong academic performance.
• Background in banking or finance with a desire to pivot expand your skillset in restructuring would be highly regarded.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build client relationships and maintain a positive team environment.
• High quality and technically-sound drafting skills, with excellent attention to details.
• A proactive and dedicated approach to client service, with strong time and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act for global financial institutions, listed and multinational companies, funds, directors, insolvency practitioners and investors on restructurings and workouts, complex financing arrangements, special situations, and corporate insolvency.
• Work closely with partner Katie Higgins and other senior practitioners within a nationally collaborative team to develop both legal and client relationship skills.
• Collaborate with peers and partners in other teams across the firm to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions.
