Join a highly regarded property practice acting on complex development transactions for some of Australia's leading developers, investors and property owners.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join a well-established Sydney property team recognised for its depth of expertise across major development projects, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and leasing matters. The practice advises clients across a broad range of asset classes, including residential, industrial, commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure, retirement living, aged care, hotels and rural assets.

This role offers the chance to work directly with respected property partners on significant transactions while enjoying genuine autonomy, strong mentoring and a clear pathway for career progression.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in advising a diverse range of property and development clients on matters including:

• Acquisitions and disposals of major commercial, residential, industrial and development sites
• Property development transactions and project structuring
• Joint venture arrangements and development agreements
• Put and call option arrangements
• Commercial, retail and large-scale portfolio leasing
• Due diligence, transaction management and negotiations
• Strategic legal and commercial advice to sophisticated property clients

You will have day-to-day carriage of matters, direct client contact and the opportunity to take ownership of significant transactions from inception through to completion.

About You

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

• 5+ years' post-qualification experience
• Strong property law experience gained within a reputable private practice team
• Experience acting on acquisitions, disposals and development transactions involving commercial, residential, industrial or rural assets
• Leasing experience, particularly commercial and retail leasing
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Experience managing transactions through PEXA and a strong understanding of property law principles
• The ability to run matters autonomously while working collaboratively within a broader team environment
• Strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills
