Job summary

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer in Brisbane is expanding its Projects, Energy & Infrastructure (PEI) team, seeking an experienced Solicitor or Senior Associate with a background in front-end projects and infrastructure.

You will work on high-impact energy and infrastructure deals, advising on procurement, project development, and government transactions across sectors, collaborating with three senior Partners to deliver market-leading outcomes for clients in Australia and internationally.

Qualifications

4 - 10 years' experience as a lawyer, gained in a projects, infrastructure and/or construction team in a private practice or in-house environment.
Strong academic results and a commitment to continuous learning.
Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
A proactive, client-focused approach and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
An innovative mindset, with a curiosity about AI and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

Advise on procurement, acquisition, divestment of major assets, project development and construction, and complex government transactions across sectors.
Work with clients including government bodies, corporations, financiers, sponsors, contractors, and investors in Australia and internationally on high-impact energy and infrastructure deals.
Collaborate with three Partners to deliver market-leading outcomes on large-scale projects.
