Job summary

Shadforth Financial Group in Sale, Victoria is seeking a Senior Associate Adviser to play a pivotal role in service delivery for existing clients and growth initiatives. You will be mentored toward becoming a Private Wealth Adviser.

You will take ownership of advice delivery, build trust, mentor peers, and contribute to team training while upholding high professional standards and ethics.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Associate Adviser or Paraplanner role.
• Strong knowledge of tax, superannuation, retirement income and investments.
• Proficiency with XPLAN financial planning software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor peers and support team development.
• New business skills and client referral networks.
• Targets aligned with key business drivers.
• Desire to progress to Private Wealth Adviser.
• Australian work rights; police and basic credit checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of new and existing client business, including preparation and delivery of advice.
• Provide high-quality personal wealth management advice, ensuring clients are well-informed.
• Identify and address additional client needs promptly and effectively.
• Meet minimum service standards and manage client expectations within timelines.
• Support fellow SAAs during absences and contribute to wider team training and workload allocation.

The opportunity to join our team

We are seeking a Senior Associate Advisers (SAA) to play a pivotal role in our service delivery strategy at Shadforth. As an SAA, you will manage the advisory needs of our existing clients while supporting our growth initiatives to onboard new clients. This role serves as a cornerstone in upholding our high standards of professional advice, client service, and ethical integrity. The SAA is expected to set a standard for other staff in maintaining a high professional standard for all advice, client service and personal integrity. You will be mentored and developed in line with your goal progressing into a Private Wealth Adviser.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership and accountability for new and existing client business, including preparation and delivery of advice
• Provide high-quality personal wealth management advice, ensuring clients are well-informed
• Identify and address additional client needs promptly and effectively
• Meet minimum Service Standards and manage to client expectations within specified timelines
• Support fellow SAAs during their absence and contribute to wider team training, mentorship and workload allocation

What you will bring:

• Proven experience in an Associate Adviser or Paraplanner role
• Solid understanding of tax, superannuation, retirement income streams, investments, and social security
• Sound experience with XPLAN financial planning software
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to problem-solve independently and demonstrate initiative
• Passion for mentoring and developing peers
• New business skills and existing client referral networks
• Accountable for targets aligned with key business drivers
• Real drive/passion to become a Private Wealth Adviser
• Tertiary qualification in Financial Planning, Business
