The Pub Mooloolaba, part of Endeavour Group, seeks a Senior Assistant Manager to act as 2IC in a high-volume hospitality venue. You’ll share leadership with a team of Assistant Managers and partner with the Venue Manager to drive standards across all departments.

This hands-on role requires a proven track record in senior supervisory roles, RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence. You’ll mentor staff, manage busy shifts, and deliver memorable service while upholding safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Senior Assistant Manager, 2IC, or high-level supervisory role within a high-volume pub, tavern, or hotel.
• RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence compliant as per state requirements.
• Proven ability to lead teams across multiple departments and manage floor strategy.

Responsibilities

• Step up as second-in-charge (2IC), running high-volume shifts with cross‑functional Assistant Managers.
• Build strong local relationships and be the face of the pub when leadership is away.
• Lead and mentor junior supervisors to uphold service standards and team morale.

Are you an established hospitality manager ready to take on a 2IC position at one of the Sunshine Coast’s most dynamic beachside pubs? The Pub Mooloolaba is looking for a driven Senior Assistant Manager who thrives in a high-volume environment and excels in a collaborative management structure.

We skip the traditional isolated Duty Manager model, instead, our leadership team is powered by a strong group of Assistant Managers, with this Senior role stepping up as the key operational right-hand to the Venue Manager. You’ll work alongside your peer managers to share shift load, mentor junior supervisors, collaborate on floor strategy, and drive standards together. Whether steering a busy weekend bistro trade, orchestrating high-energy sports and beer garden service, or managing floor operations across gaming and functions, you’ll be right in the heart of the action with total team support.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• You will step up as second-in-charge (2IC), running high-volume shifts while working alongside fellow Assistant Managers across all operational departments.
• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

About you:

• Proven track record in a Senior Assistant Manager, 2IC, or high-level supervisory role within a high-volume pub, tavern, or hotel.
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
