Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in regulatory assessments within regulators or resources industry.
• Experience assessing mining/quarrying/petroleum projects from design to decommissioning.
• Proven ability to judge based on evidence and deliver complex projects.
• Understanding risk management principles and development of risk plans.
• A relevant tertiary qualification would be well regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment of complex and high-risk resources project applications.
• Provide expert regulatory advice to support timely, risk-based decisions.
• Collaborate with co-regulators, industry and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Mentor and build capability within the regulatory branch.
