Job summary

Wood plc is seeking a Senior Area Scheduler to join the Ampol Refinery on a permanent basis, based in Brisbane, Australia. The role focuses on scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities to maximize equipment performance and plant reliability, with emphasis on safety and productivity.

The successful candidate will bring a degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years in maintenance scheduling, and strong leadership, communication, and software skills (SAP, P6, Prometheus).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in maintenance scheduling or planning, preferably in the oil and gas industry or heavy industrial environment.
• Experience with SAP, P6, Prometheus or alternative scheduling software
• Strong leadership & communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proven ability to lead a high performing team as well as being a high-level performer
• Strong business & scheduling process knowledge within a maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities within the refinery to ensure optimal equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical support to maintenance teams for process standardisation & implementation.
• Collaborate with teams to minimize downtime, improve safety, and enhance productivity.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, maintenance management, or a previous trade certification qualification - Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation
