Job summary

Cottee Parker Architects in Brisbane seeks an Experienced Architectural Technician or Graduate of Architecture with strong experience on Australian projects to join our Brisbane studio. This role offers exposure to diverse sectors and a collaborative environment.

You will prepare and review drawings using Revit, coordinate with consultants, and assist in managing documentation, timelines, and project budgets while supporting the Project Leader in approvals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience on Australian architectural projects.
• Permanent working rights in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of Australian documentation standards and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate drawings, models, and schedules using Revit.
• Review and check documentation before submission to the Project Leader for final approval.
• Coordinate consultant input and documentation across project phases.
• Support the Project Leader in client, consultant, and authority meetings to progress approvals.
• Liaise with certifiers and authorities to support the approval process.
• Conduct site visits to document conditions and ensure accurate records.

Snr Architectural Technician/ Exp Graduate of Architecture

Cottee Parker Architects is a nationally recognised, design-led practice known for delivering innovative and high-quality architectural solutions across sectors including hospitality, commercial, multi-residential, luxury residential, and retail.

We’re seeking talented and motivated Experienced Architectural Technicians or Graduates of Architecture with strong experience on Australian architectural projects to join our Brisbane studio. Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate drawings, models, and schedules using Revit

· Review and check documentation before submitting to the Project Leader (PL) for final approval

· Efficiently coordinate consultant input and documentation across project phases

· Support the PL in client, consultant, and authority meetings to facilitate project progress and approvals

· Liaise with certifiers and relevant authorities to support the approval process

· Assist the PL with project reviews and promptly apply recommendations

· Conduct site visits to gather information and ensure accurate documentation of site conditions

· Assist in resolving architectural issues and defects on-site

· Collaborate with architects and interior designers on agreed project roles

· Assist in developing documentation programs aligned with fees and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources

· Alert the PL of any risks to program or budget

· Document key decisions and maintain organised, accessible project records

· Research materials and construction methods to ensure compliance with Client-Architect Agreements, codes, and consultant inputs

· Implement CPA’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring all records and documentation are compliant

· Demonstrate high attention to detail and ensure all work aligns with CPA’s documentation standards and quality protocols

· Maintain accurate and organised project records and documentation

Technical Knowledge & Skills

· Strong knowledge of Australian documentation standards and construction methods

· High-level technical proficiency in architectural drawing and documentation

· Excellent communication and project coordination skills

· Demonstrated growth in understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials through ongoing research and application

· Relevant sector experience across retail, multi-residential, townhouses and/or hotels.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Architecture, Diploma of Building Design, Advanced Diploma of Building Design, or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.

Skills and Experience:

· Relevant qualification in Architecture, Building Design, or Architectural Technology from a recognised institution

· Graduate of Architecture candidates should be eligible for registration as an Architect in Australia

· Minimum 5 years’ experience on Australian architectural projects

· Strong technical proficiency in architectural documentation and construction methods

· High-level proficiency in Revit

· Excellent communication and coordination skills

· Permanent working rights in Australia
