Job summary

The City of Ballarat is seeking an experienced arboriculture professional to lead the management and maintenance of its urban forest. You will apply best industry practices to protect trees and ensure long-term health and safety for the community.

Based in Ballarat, you will oversee staff and contractors, maintain tree-related records, and contribute to expanding the tree data register as part of council asset management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Experience in managing Council trees and staff.
• Knowledge of asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all Council trees using best industry practice.
• Maintain asset management systems to record all activities associated with the City of Ballarat’s Tree Population.
• Oversee all tree maintenance activities carried out by staff and contractors.
• Support Council’s plan to maintain, enhance and expand the tree data register.
