Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking Arborists to maintain trees across Council parks and open spaces. You will lead crews to deliver safe, high-quality pruning, removals, and maintenance works, using chainsaws, EWPs, and other gear.

We value teamwork and safety, offering a supportive workplace with family-friendly benefits. A Certificate III in Arboriculture and a SafeWork NSW White Card are required, plus a valid MR licence and an EWP ticket over 11 metres.

Qualifications

• Tree maintenance experience and knowledge of pruning, removals, and maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead small work crews and coordinate safety on site.
• Commitment to WHS standards and safe operations on public spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree pruning, removals, and maintenance works
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, EWPs, and other specialist equipment
• Assess tree condition and identify potential hazards
• Respond to storm damage and emergency call-outs
• Lead and support small work crews on site
• Ensure safety, traffic management, and WHS compliance
• Communicate professionally with residents and stakeholders
• Protect surrounding vegetation and public assets during works
