Ipswich City Council is seeking a motivated Arboricultural Team Lead to oversee the team and perform hands-on tree maintenance across public spaces. The role focuses on enhancing safety, appearance, and sustainability of Ipswich’s parks and streetscapes.

You will lead, mentor and coordinate activities, ensuring high-quality outcomes while working outdoors. A Certificate III in Horticulture with Arboricultural competencies and a Chainsaw Operator’s ticket are required, with a strong safety

Formación

• Certificate III in Horticulture with Arboricultural competencies or equivalent experience.
• Chainsaw Operator’s ticket.
• Belief in safety, wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support the Arboricultural Team.
• Undertake tree pruning, surgery, removal and maintenance activities.
• Safely operate chainsaws, woodchippers and EWPs.
• Perform advanced tree maintenance, including climbing and aerial works.
