Job summary

Appian is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer in Sydney to lead the support and evolution of applications built on the Appian platform. You will investigate complex issues, own production incidents, and partner with development squads during deployments to ensure reliability.

You will analyze data using SQL and spreadsheets, leverage AI tools to accelerate workflows, and collaborate with CRM/HR stakeholders in a fast-paced, in-person team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/IT/BIS or related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years in enterprise application support, data analysis, or similar production environment.
• Proficiency with SQL and/or advanced spreadsheets to analyze data and diagnose issues; comfortable using AI tools to speed up workflows.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve complex system anomalies and global end-user requests with rapid workarounds and data analysis.
• Lead production resolution by owning active incidents and coordinating across internal teams to restore services.
• Perform routine maintenance, post-refresh validation, and ensure sandbox stability, security, and efficiency.
• Support deployments, assist in testing, and document defects to improve workflows.
• Maintain internal knowledge base and collaborate with Engineering on usability testing for future features.
