Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead complex EOR payroll for Australia and New Zealand within the Global Payroll Operations team. You will own end-to-end processing, manage escalations, and ensure accurate payroll outputs across both markets.

Ideal candidates have deep ANZ payroll knowledge, strong judgment on tax treatments, and the ability to mentor other payroll specialists while partnering with Product and Engineering on ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of end-to-end ANZ payroll processing experience.
• Expert knowledge of PAYG, STP, KiwiSaver, ESCT, ACC and leave obligations.
• Strong judgment across payroll scenarios and compliance.
• Experience with EOR or multi-country payroll operations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, mentoring, and documentation skills.
• Continuous-improvement mindset with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, JIRA, Confluence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own complex EOR payroll processing for Australia and New Zealand, including inputs, approvals, corrections, and off-cycle payments.
• Serve as senior payroll and payroll tax SME for escalations, including PAYG withholding and returns.
• Create, review, and validate pay types, inputs, and configurations for correct tax treatment.
• Advise internal and external teams on ANZ payroll requirements and deductions.
• Review, reconcile, and validate payroll outputs and deductions across markets.
• Strengthen payroll controls, SOPs, and knowledge resources to reduce issues and improve accuracy.
