Job summary

BBC Studios in Australia is seeking a Finance professional to lead Actuals & Reporting for ANZ. You will manage daily financial control, statutory reporting, and governance, ensuring accuracy of ANZ financial statements across multiple entities.

You will influence ICFR and provide technical accounting advice to the Finance Manager, ANZ. You will supervise the ANZ accounting operations including month-end, year-end close, payroll and tax compliance, while partnering with global teams to drive

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with a broad range of reporting tools.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience applying it in a cross‑border, multi‑entity context.
• Experience with ANZ statutory reporting, taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting audit processes and coordinating with external advisers or regulators.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ANZ financial close and reporting with Finance Manager, ANZ and broader Finance team.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and account substantiation, resolve items timely.
• Oversee outsourced R2R provider, set timelines and ensure delivery quality.
• Support AP/AR and payroll activities within ANZ across statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with tax filings including BAS, payroll tax reconciliation and annual tax returns.
• Collaborate with regional/global finance teams to ensure policy alignment and improve processes.
