Job summary

Circuit Recruitment Group is partnering with a large Australian organisation to recruit a Senior Android Engineer. You will spend significant time improving the engineering foundations behind a large consumer-facing Android application, while remaining hands-on in Kotlin.

You will focus on architecture, build performance, tooling, automated delivery, and reliability, working across CI/CD, monitoring and production troubleshooting in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience on large or technically complex native Android apps.
• Strong Kotlin and Android experience is essential.
• Familiarity with Gradle, CI/CD, AWS, observability, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Improve engineering foundations behind a large consumer-facing Android app.
• Lead architecture, build performance, developer tooling and automated delivery.
• Enhance application reliability, monitoring and release processes.
• Collaborate with wider engineering teams to improve Android tooling and processes.
• Maintain hands-on Android development with Kotlin while enabling teams.
