Job summary

Mantel is an Australian-owned IT Professional Services consultancy expanding its data managed services. We seek a hands-on Analytics Engineer to build and support data platforms and pipelines for multiple clients.

You will work with Mantel Group’s Data team to deliver data solutions, improve reliability, and enable decision-making using modern technologies in a flexible, hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data experience (Data Engineer or similar, e.g., DBA)
• Experience in production support with SLAs
• Experience with data platforms and pipelines
• Cloud platform and infrastructure experience
• Client-facing consulting skills and translating business needs to technical solutions
• Exposure to reporting/visualisation tools (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau)
• Data modelling across relational/star-schema/data warehouse/noSQL
• Experience with lakehouse technologies (Snowflake/Databricks/Redshift/BigQuery/Synapse)
• Familiarity with DevOps/source control/orchestration (Git/Azure DevOps/dbt/Airflow)
• SQL preferred; Python beneficial

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand data needs and provide technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and maintain data platforms, pipelines and infrastructure
• Design and implement reliable data pipelines and data quality improvements
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
• Document solutions, procedures and best practices
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical production issues
• Escalate high-severity incidents as they occur
• Coordinate with managed services team, clients and partners on backlogs for improvement
• Demonstrate Mantel principles in interactions with colleagues and clients
