Job summary

Mantel is a leading Australian-owned IT consultancy focused on AI-enabled data solutions. We seek a Senior Data Engineer to design and build enterprise-scale data architectures using Snowflake and Databricks across AWS/GCP/Azure.

You will develop complex ETL/ELT pipelines, productionise AI data feeds, and collaborate with client stakeholders while mentoring teammates in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building data pipelines and architectures.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for data engineering tasks.
• Hands-on with Snowflake and/or Databricks ecosystems on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, IaC and modern data tooling.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex data solutions that meet client expectations.
• Build and deploy modern data architectures (Medallion/Lakehouse) on Snowflake/Databricks.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines with optimized data modeling.
• Productionise AI models by feeding data to live apps.
• Lead small teams or contribute as senior technical expert when needed.
• Collaborate with project leadership to manage scope and risks.
