Job summary

Deloitte Services Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a senior in charge to join our external audit team within Financial Services. You'll lead external audit engagements, mentor juniors, and stay current with regulations, standards and best practices to ensure high-quality audits.

With 4 years of FS audit experience, a degree in accounting/commerce and a CA qualification (or near completion), you'll thrive in a role that offers career progression, flexible work options, and access to diverse clients

Qualifications

• 4 years' experience in external audit with Financial Services audit industry exposure (insurance exposure preferable)
• Bachelor's degree or above in accounting/commerce or a related field
• CA qualification (or similar) or close to completion
• Professional services experience gained in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm (preferable)
• Strong communication, leadership, project management, and multitasking skills

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior in charge on external audit engagements.
• Stay updated on regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure audit quality.
• Participate in innovation and development of new offerings to deliver more than traditional audit services.

What will your typical day look like?

In this rewarding role, your leadership / mentoring skills will be used to act as a senior in charge on external audit engagements. To remain as an expert in the field, you will stay updated on regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure audit quality is maintained, and participate in innovation and development of new offerings to deliver more than traditional audit services. Your audit career will be enhanced through our wide range of clients, giving you continuous exposure to complex accounting issues and business environments.
