Job summary

AEMO is Australia’s independent energy system and market operator and system planner. As a Senior Analyst within the Energy Market Cyber Coordination team, you will support the development and execution of a program of work to enable AEMO to discharge its responsibilities in improving cyber security preparedness and resilience across the energy sector.

This is a 24-month Fixed Term Contract. Eligibility requires Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a national security

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in computer science, technology-related fields, cyber security, energy-related fields or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the energy sector, preferably supporting cyber security, resilience or critical infrastructure activities.
• Knowledge of cyber security regulation and policy frameworks relevant to critical infrastructure and energy.

Responsibilities

• Support AESCSF maintenance and adoption with industry participants and stakeholders.
• Coordinate annual cyber security maturity assessments across the energy sector.
• Analyse assessment outcomes and develop reports, briefs and presentations communicating sector-wide trends and risks.
• Research cyber security risks that may impact energy system security, resilience and reliable operation.
• Support development of sector guidance and awareness initiatives to improve maturity and resilience.
