Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a capable professional to join their Restructuring & Recovery team in Sydney. You’ll support businesses, lenders and stakeholders through periods of change, delivering practical, turnaround-focused solutions.

This role offers exposure to financial analysis, cash flow forecasting and business reviews in a fast-paced advisory environment. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in a similar role, with strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare key financial and statutory documents.
• Conduct investigations into corporate affairs.

• Assist with director and bankrupt interviews.
• Review graduates' work.
• Identify and resolve complex issues.
• Prepare letters of demand and budgets/forecasts.
• Liaise with lawyers, agents and auctioneers.
• Prepare creditor reports with financial analysis.
• Draft correspondence and be main contact for engagements.

About the role:

Join a dynamic Restructuring & Recovery team where no two days are the same. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll support businesses, lenders and stakeholders through periods of change, helping deliver practical solutions to complex financial and operational challenges. From financial analysis and cash flow forecasting to business reviews and turnaround initiatives, you'll gain hands-on exposure to a diverse range of engagements while building strong client relationships and developing your expertise in a fast-paced, advisory-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review receipt authority, payment authority, day one investigation letters and statutory forms.
• Conduct investigations into the affairs of a company/individual
• Prepare ASIC reports
• Assist with interview of directors/bankrupts
• Reviews work of Graduates
• Helps identify, research and resolve all complex issues
• Prepare letters of demand
• Assist with the trade on of a business including the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Liaise with lawyers, agents and auctioneers
• Preparation of reports to creditors including financial analysis
• Draft correspondence and act as main point of contact in regards to correspondence on engagements

About you:

Essential

• 2-4 years in a similar role
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
• Law degree with interest in Insolvency

Desirable

• Completion or near completion of CA or equivalent
• Commencement of Insolvency Education Program (ARITA)
• Strong analytical skills
• Networking skills
