Job summary

BOQ Group is hiring a Senior AML Systems and Data Analyst to shape detection, monitoring and response to financial crime risks across the Group. You will design, tune and enhance detection rules, models and data workflows within transaction monitoring, customer risk assessment and screening platforms.

You will collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Technology and Data teams to ensure controls are effective, compliant, and scalable, while exploring analytics, automation and AI initiatives

Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Crime, AML, Fraud, Risk Analytics or Data Analytics within banking or financial services.
• Ability to design, tune or optimise detection rules, scenarios or models.
• Proficiency with large datasets and analytics tools; strong SQL; exposure to AI/ML is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and tune detection scenarios and monitoring rules.
• Conduct coverage and effectiveness assessments of controls.
• Deliver analytical insights and reporting to stakeholders.
• Support change initiatives, governance, audits and regulatory reviews.
