Job summary

Lawson Elliott Recruitment partners with a market-leading Australian entertainment organisation to recruit an AML/CTF compliance leader on a part-time basis. This role offers senior scope to design and implement a full compliance program from the ground up.

Reporting to the CFO, you will build policies, conduct risk assessments, oversee due diligence, manage AUSTRAC obligations and deliver training. The position is 2 days per week with a pro rata salary of $170k-$190k plus super and benefits.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years in AML/CTF, financial crime or regulatory compliance.
• Degree qualified with formal AML/CTF or compliance certification held.
• Comfortable building a program from a blank page and translating regulation into practical business applications.
• Excellent communication with non-compliance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and maintaining the organisation's AML/CTF program end to end.
• Completing and keeping current the ML/TF risk assessment across customers, products, channels and jurisdictions.
• Setting customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence standards and overseeing their application.
• Managing AUSTRAC enrolment, reporting obligations and regulatory correspondence.
• Assessing escalations and alerts, and making decisions on suspicious matters within required timeframes.
• Writing practical policies, procedures and controls that work with how the business actually operates.
• Delivering training across the business, from operational teams through to senior leadership.
• Reporting on compliance performance, incidents and emerging risk to the CFO and senior management.
