Job summary

Tabcorp is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to convert complex regulatory obligations into practical guidance, controls and informed business decisions. Based in the Financial Crime Strategy & Compliance team, you will focus on AML/CTF and related financial crime risks while collaborating across products, systems and customer activities.

This senior advisory role involves shaping views, providing guidance and enabling risk-based decisions across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory compliance, risk or assurance, ideally in an advisory or second-line role.
• Ability to interpret obligations and turn them into clear, workable business requirements.
• Experience assessing risks and improving controls, frameworks or governance processes.
• Confidence working with stakeholders across different business and technical teams.
• Strong judgement, written communication and the ability to present clear recommendations to senior audiences.
• An interest in financial crime compliance, with AML/CTF knowledge or experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support financial crime risk assessments, including risks arising from new products, systems, technologies and customer types.
• Translate regulatory obligations and guidance into practical advice for business teams.
• Maintain and improve obligations, controls and governance processes.
• Monitor AML/CTF developments, emerging risks and AUSTRAC guidance.
• Contribute to compliance and transformation initiatives across the business.
• Prepare clear risk and governance reporting for senior management and Board forums.
• Support financial crime governance forums and follow through on key actions.
