Job summary

BDO is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its AML team on a 6-month max-term contract, based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth. The role drives due diligence reviews, supports AML obligations and continuous improvements across ~30,000 client engagements.

The successful candidate will blend technical AML expertise with stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, compliant environment, contributing to programs and guidance across the firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in AML/CTF compliance and customer due diligence.
• Ability to apply a risk-based approach to reviews and assessments.
• Experience contributing to policies, procedures, guidance materials or training resources.

Responsibilities

• Review AML CDD files and assess compliance against laws and internal policies.
• Identify gaps and recommend practical improvements to AML processes.
• Develop operational guidance materials, templates and decision trees.
• Support remediation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide AML guidance to Administrators conducting due diligence.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of AML processing.
• Assist with complex due diligence matters and stakeholder queries.
• Support workflow management and organizational improvement initiatives.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to promote AML compliance.
