Job summary

Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA) is seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead the Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Care Workforce project, developing a Scope of Practice and Model of Care and coordinating across ACCHOs and SA Health to improve outcomes for Aboriginal women, babies, and families.

The role requires strong governance, stakeholder coordination, and flexibility to travel across South Australia, with occasional after-hours work and adherence to funding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and contributing to clinical governance documents such as Scope of Practice and Models of Care.
• Experience collaborating with Aboriginal communities on projects and programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across multiple organisations.
• Experience in project management across internal and external partners.
• Knowledge of culturally safe, Aboriginal-led models of care.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Care Workforce Project to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement workforce initiatives including the AMIC Scope of Practice and Model of Care.
• Build and maintain partnerships with ACCHOs, SA Health and key stakeholders.
• Advocate for culturally safe continuity of care from antenatal to postnatal services.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, reporting, and budget management.
• Represent AHCSA in state and national forums.
